The World-Wide F-Body Hideout is proud to host the 2nd Annual "Modern F-Body Shootout"! 3rd and 4th (1982-2002) Generation Camaros and Firebirds only, regardless of club affiliation. There will be trophies for each drag class, a group gathering with additional trophies, prizes and free give-away's!

This is a great time as well for new people to learn about drag racing. We invite you to come out and ask questions, make new friends, and make a few passes on the track. It will be a great time to learn from others. Just be prepared to be hooked on a new hobby.

Pre-registration is not required, just show up and pay at the gate.

Manual Trans
ET Bracket
For 'Gear Grabbers' only (Manual Transmissions), no Automatics. No restrictions on Tires used. Power-Adders are allowed. Bracket Eliminations based on ET Dial-In, run on a .500 Standard Bracket Racing Tree.
Wild Street
ET Bracket
Automatics or Manual Transmissions. No restrictions on Tires used. Power-Adders are allowed. Bracket Eliminations based on ET Dial-In, run on a .500 Standard Bracket Racing Tree.
True Street
ET Bracket
Automatics and Manual Transmissions. True Street Tires only. No Drag Radials, 'ET Streets', Race 'Slicks', and no "Competition Compound" Tires such as BFG R1, Hoosier R3S03/A3S03, or Kumho V700. Naturally Aspirated (NA) only, no Power-Adders unless Originally Factory Equipped (example to this exception: 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans-Am).
ET Bracket Final
A Final Race between Class Winners of "Manual Trans ET" and "Wild Street ET". Bracket Elimination based on ET Dial-In, run on a .500 Standard Bracket Racing Tree. No restrictions on Tires used.

Power-Adders allowed, to include: Supercharger, Nitrous, Turbo, or any combination. Any Tire is allowed.

Fee to be paid in the Lanes (not at the Gate). No Qualifying necessary, Heads Up on a .400 Pro-Tree. Drawing for Random Paired Run-Off Order.

Rules:
3rd/4th Gen EFI F-Body Only ('82 to Present). "Stock Style" Suspension. EFI Only. No Carbs. Aftermarket DFI Accepted.

Basically, No other Rules - No Tags Or Registration Required. Any Tire, Any Poweradder, Anything Goes, Bring It On! The Money-Maker Class!

There Are No Other Class Changes, So Without Tags/Registration, You Will Still Not Be Eligible for Quick8s Or Brackets, However You Can Run Time Runs And Grudge Runs All Day During Open Session.

Cars running 13.99 or quicker driver must wear a helmet, rated Snell 85 or higher.

Long pants (no shorts or cutoffs) and seatbelts required.

"Quick8" is defined as the eight quickest Elapsed Time (ET) cars per class, Naturally Aspirated (NA) and Unlimited (unlimited on the number of power-adders), set during the designated Qualifying Session. Any type of tire is allowed. Heads-Up racing on a .400 Pro-Tree (no breakout), Sportsman Ladder. To qualify you must make your qualifying run during the designated Open Qualifying Practice Session using a .400 Pro-Tree which will be announced clearly. Quick8 Qualifying is an Open Session Practice, so if you want to make a run on the Pro-Tree just for fun why not give it a shot! You might end up qualifying as one of the Quickest 8 cars and have the opportunity to run heads up in the finals!

"Open Session" - Open for practice runs for all cars. MIR has 8 Staging Lanes, which makes for easy coordination of race classes. Classes and lane
schedules will be clearly announced during the event.

"Grudge Run Lane" - Open specifically so you can be sure to line up a 'Grudge Race' against your buddy.

"R/T Contest" - Best Reaction Time during Eliminations wins a prize (to be announced).

"Stock Style Suspension" - Required (mounting points must remain stock). Aftermarket Torque-Arms and Lower Control Arm (LCA) Relocation Brackets are acceptable.

9:00 a.m. Gates open for Tech Inspection. All cars go to Lane 9.
9:30 a.m. Open Session and Morning Announcements.
10:00 a.m. "Grudge Match" Lane open, continue Open Session
11:00 a.m. Qualifying Quick8 Classes. 45-minute Qualifying Session on a .400 Pro-Tree.
11:45 a.m. Announcements, Organize Classes, Lane Schedules.
12:00 p.m. Eliminations: Quick8 NA & Quick8 Unlimited.
12:30 p.m.

Eliminations: Bracket Classes (plus Reaction Time R/T Contest).

1:30 p.m. Open Session until 2pm.
2:00 p.m. Awards & Trophy Ceremony for Race Winners.

Take the Beltway I-95 to exit 7A (Branch Avenue). South 30 miles to the traffic light at Route 234, then left 7 miles to MIR in Budds Creek, MD. You will see the MIR entrance on your right side shortly after passing a fuel station on your left.
From North of
Washington DC
Follow I-95 South to Maryland exit 7A (Branch Avenue). South 30 miles to the traffic light at Route 234, then left 7 miles to MIR in Budds Creek, MD. You will see the MIR entrance on your right side shortly after passing a fuel station on your left.
From South of
Richmond, VA
Follow I-95 north to the Virginia exit 104 (Bowling Green). Follow 301 north into Maryland to the traffic light at Route 234, then right 7 miles to MIR in Budds Creek, MD. You will see the MIR entrance on your right side shortly after passing a fuel station on your left.

$20.00 Race, includes driver entry and pit-parking (race vehicles only).
$12.00 Spectators only, does not include pit-side parking. If spectator is in the same vehicle as the race driver, the spectator must still pay the spectator's fee of $12.00.
