Hey Guys
Let me start by saying it's awesome to see everyone back around the hideout. I was going through withdrawal for a while there..... http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/togo.gif
Anyways, I have a set of plugs and wires for my 95 TA LT1. How hard would it be for me to do them myself? I know it's a real bizniotch to do them but, can it be done by a guy who is somewhat mechanically inclined? If so, where can I get a real good set of instructions / guidelines / advice on doing this? My plugs and wires are toasted bad and need to be done ASAP.
Thanks http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

It's not too bad just take your time and have lots of patience. If you were in VA I'd say bring it by and I'll do it for you.

It can be a real biotch the first time around, especially the passenger side but it can be done DIY.

Thanks Guys. Being up here in Calgary makes it a little difficult. Believe me, If I could I would drop down, with loads of beverages. http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
Hey Mike, that Stealth quick shift is the cats a$$. Makes shifting on the stock shift feel very short and clean. http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twothumbs.gif

Update. I got the actual numbers on the compression/leak down test. They are as follows:
Cyl Comp(lbs)Leak(%)
1 165 45 ring
2 not tested not tested
3 170 26 ring
4 120 80 ring and bearing
5 165 40 ring
6 170 14
7 170 26 ring

I can only imagine. I will have to get one this summer....
I had a mechanic friend tell me my test numbers are crap. The car pulls like a train for a stock Lt1, so could the numbers still be right??? http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

you should get chiltons camaro/firebird book, it has pretty much every thing you need to know. it has a wiring diagram that shows the connections between the distributor and plugs.

I have a book on the 94 TA if you need any info out of it let me know and I send it to you. About the plugs and wires I did mine myself it didnt take but about 2hrs. Best advice I can give is get some ramps and do the passenger side first cause they are the hardest. The passenger side will have to be done from the top and under the car. then when you get to the driver side it will be a breeze.
Thanks
