Magnus' Site (http://www.dxsoftware.com/magnus/) This is a site for one of the 1st guys to do a Cam install on a 3.8. Look on the left margin for Heads and Cam, he has pictures and gives good details. I hope this helps you out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

hey James, www.3800performance.com (http://www.3800performance.com)
I am going to look up my cost for the L36C2 cam. and kit.
It says that all you have to do is drop the left side sub-Frame. It will give a few notes on the site. I still think I can do much better than what they are asking for. We will see..

[/ QUOTE ] You're better off going with a custom grind, from ZZP, Intense, or of your own design. The grinds Comp sells are really kind of wimpy. The ZZP GT cam is a nice cam to use on a stock valvetrain. It is the cam the N/A record holder uses, and he ran a 13.6x on stock heads, and a stock valve train.

Could you post a link please.. I bet the cost is unreal for a custom cam. The comp cam 2 is around 200 my cost. my 2 cents

ZZPerformance GT & GT2 Cams (http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/products/competition/competition_gt_cam.htm) for the GT cam and Comp Cams Lobe spec sheet (http://www.compcams.com/catalog/230.html) For designing your own cam. The stock heads can take lifts up to a little over .500 without any problems.. If you go over .525 the pedistals need to be milled. Without custom seals lifts over .550 will crush the stock seals even with milling. Oh and custom cams are about $325 shipped..:D

I would use the more agressive cam. but if you have the time and money go all out. I hope you have a minimum of a C.F.dual friction clutch inside the tranny. The stock will not hold an big jump in TQ. Especially if you have some serious meat on the rear like I do.

[/ QUOTE ] The GT cam is great on stock heads and a stock valvetrain. The N/A record holder on CamaroV6/FirebirdV6 ran a 13.65 with that cam, exhaust and some suspension mods.
