Question about Intake & MAF sensor for my Camaro

I was just talking to a guy and i told him that i was going to be getting SLP Cold Air Intake and a SLP Mass Airflow Sensor for my car and he said something about a possibility of throwing a code or check engine light in my car. Does anyone know if it will or if it will be fine. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks guys.

If you have a 4th gen it wont, but he might be speaking of experience from a different kinda car. My buddies toyota threw a code when he changed his maf, but he's the only one I've ever seen throw one.

Yeah, the car he threw a code in was a Subaru WRX, so i guess that makes sense. Thanks though man!
