Hey Team, It looks like the damage on the tranny was external so far. When I changed the fluid of my T-5,I noticed the Shifter plate was not even, actually, the passenger side was much higher than the driver side under the floorboard. Using common sense, it appears that I have bent the shifter, hence the reason reverse goes in,but doesnt work right. Anyone Recommend any particular shifter and what the pricing is on them? I am asking because you guys installed various brands and price ranges of them in your cars, I like reccomends from owners over a salesman. Thanks for the help.

Can't go wrong with B&M Ripper or Pro 5.0 shifters. Expect to spend close to $160.

I wonder if E-Bay if worth a chance checking. I just hate navigating that dang website.

I bought a Pro 5.0 on Ebay for $75. It was clean and in good condition, and works like a charm. I love that shifter. I would marry it if I could. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I got the Pro 5.0 for my Z. Didn't get the change to install it before my vacation ended. But it does have stop bolts on it to prevent you from bending the shift forks in your tranny when you are shifting hard. The stop bolts are adjustable as well. It is shorter than the stock on but not ridiculously so. From what I saw, it looks like it will be a very good upgrade. I haven't heard a bad thing about that shifter.

Of course the other aftermarket shifters might have the same features as well. I don't know. But that is all the info I have on the Pro 5.0.

Pro5.0 is the only shifter you will ever need to know. Except no substitutes. and they run $160- $199 new. Pics of installing a Pro 5.0 (http://www.projectgangreen.com/Installs/pro50/)

Same here; I got my T56 Pro 5.0 for well under $100 with shipping. Half of my car is eBay auction stuff. It's definitely worth checking, as long as you don't outbid me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Well FINALLY got another vacation and installed the shifter. So far it's pretty nice but it does have a little more noise. Nothing the music can't tune out though.
