The 3rd Gen Nationals were held this past weekend in Frederick MD. & everything went great. About 80 3rd Genz showed up with good sponsorship from 3rd Gen suppliers. SLP even gave away some NICE rims! 2 4th Gens, a Firehawk and a (You guessed it) SS, showed up. We had a BBQ and GM High Tech magazine came out to cover the event.
Sunday we all went racing at Mason Dixon raceway near Hagerstown MD. $25 to race and $5 to watch wasn't bad, but there was lots of mudd. The most dissapointing thing was they only ran 1/8 mi times as they claimed the 1/4 mi point was too muddy. They did not give us our own lane like MIR did at the F-Body shootout and we divided into classes and bracketed after 1 free run. (I broke out my first time up for a total of 3 runs!)
