Hello everyone, I am looking into geting a new cat back exhaust for my 3rd gen and wanted some input on what systems you guys liked the most. I have been looking at the hooker system but I cant find anything about what the tone is for the aero chamber mufflers, have you heard them? and what do they sound like? I am looking for a fairly loud exhaust system that isn't going to burn too big of a hole in my wallet. BTW iv got a 1990 camaro rs 305 tbi

If you wanna make a racket, do what nate says, the cutouts are big stupid fun. http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I almost sent some unsuspecting yuppie thru his porsches sunroof with a well placed rev at a stoplight. http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Other than that, I got plenty of "damn that thing sounds good"s from my blowmaster 80 series. heh and that was just the muffler.
Try an American Thunder dual out 3"
The Hooker sounds really good too. Not too loud til ya crack into it.... http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

gut the cats and put an american thunder flowmaster. Or you can put a cut out on it and make it sound the same way and save $200.

CutOuts and Knock Sensors hate each other, not sure how the early cars(TPI/TBI)handle it. Anyway False knock sucks.

Very true, but a stock 305 or 350 w/ stock exhaust manifolds and cats barely sounds loud. Sounds like a cat back. Ask Gonzo, he still doesn't have any exhaust on his 3rdgen.

Thanks for all the input. About the cut-out, where would you suggest placeing it? After the cat would probaly be the easyest way to go. But if i had it behind the cat I would want to gut the cat out, whats the easyest way to do this?
Thanks for any input.
