-1987 Pontiac Trans Am for sale. This car was in a crash in 2005, where the front fender, front bumper, front bumper cover, front bumper packing, hood and passenger side light was totaled. The insurance adjuster said they where going to total the car out, I got a check and a salvage title. The WEIRD thing was, I went and re-registered the car in January, and it has a CLEAN title. That's all. Nothing about it being salvaged. I have insurance on the car, and they didn't say one work, so some how I lucked out, and the car has a clean title. The car needs a MAS Air Flow sensor to drive because it is broken, the coil broke on the inside. Now the PROM has the car in "limp home mode". Car will be 100% with a new MAF.
Here is a list of what I have done to the car.
-New hood
-New front bumper
-New front bumper packing
-New front bumper support
-New light motors (left and right) and new lights
-New Fog lights
-New Tires
-Allignment done
-3 inch cat back exhaust with a high flow cat (it's all smog legal)
-Flowmaster Series 40 muffler
-New paint job ($800)
-New radiator and cooling fans (to be on the save side)
-New plugs, motor oil filter, air cleaner, timing adjusted
-Transmission service
-Differential service
The car is very straight and Very clean. One of the cleanest 3rd generation F-Body cars you will find. And semi-rare.
The car is fully loaded, AC (needs belt), cruise control, disc brakes, T-Tops, the works. The radio works when it wants, interior is very straight and clean except for 2 flaws, the center console rubber is coming off the sides of the console, this is not major but glue will fix it. And the drivers seat is showing a little wear on the left, a commen issue with most cars. For a 20 year old car this is damn clean. The car has been voted best F-body at 4 cars shows.
Engine is a 5.0 litre 305. It does have a roller valve train and roller camshaft. It's a TPI car! Also the engine is an LB9, this is the highest HP 305 ever offered. Car has positraction as well.
This is also a real WS6 optioned car. The suspension on it is very good, handles like it is on rails, this is what the 3rd gen WS6's are known for, and a neat fact, the WS6 suspesnion on these cars where so good, that the rear end, and rear suspension on these WS6 cars are IDENTIAL in every way to that of the 4th generation WS6 cars, they are 100% the same in every aspect. They where left un-touched from the 80's to 2002. Pretty cool.
I'm asking $2,500, but I will work on the price. Here are some pics of this very clean 87 Trans Am WS6.
