If I was the guy who got pulled over, I don't think there's anyway in hell that I could keep a straight face once he got his dumb ass back up to my window. Seriously, how can you keep your composure after listening to him cuss up a storm chasing his own car around, and then blaming the damn car for his own stupid mistake? That guy must've known right then and there that he was gonna get a ticket as soon as he saw that. The last thing you want is to have a pissed off cop negotiating a ticket with you.
"You know why I pulled you over?" "No, sir." "You cut corners to avoid a signal device." "Sir, your car just crossed 4 lanes of traffic unmanned." I wonder what his car hit. Sounds like it was a nice little thud.

They are. He's implying that the automatic shifter "jumped" out of park into reverse. (Which I know in most newer cars, it requires you to press the brake to disengage from the parking gear).

Yeah, with the tremendous ego that most cops have I'm sure he wouldn't admit that he forgot to put it in park. I wonder what his superiors told him when he reported it...lol
